Sherman Hospital – Elgin, IL

New 645,000 sq. ft. facility with 255 patient rooms in a six-story tower designed with “functional flow” in mind – the emergency room, critical care, day surgery and cardiac care patient rooms are all adjacent and on the same level, allowing easy and logical flow of patients, personnel and services.
Massive geothermal heat exchanger uses 275,000 feet of 2-inch heat transfer pipe incorporating heat wheels and 540 Mammoth water-to-air heat pumps and 66 water-to-water heat pumps.
HVAC system is coupled with a 17 foot deep, 15 acre man-made geoexchange lake.
The total system provides an annual energy savings of over $1,000,000.

193-bed community hospital that completed a $64 million renovation and upgrade which includes technological upgrades, five fully integrated surgical suites, private rooms, a new Emergency Department, front entrance, a larger Radiology Department and a new auditorium.
System includes a 500-ton evaporative-condensed chiller system complete with pumps and piping, as well as a 125- ton evaporative-condensed DX system.
Unit was made up of 12 penthouse sections containing four air tunnels, a FANWALL^® system, blenders, pumps, piping for the chiller system and hot water system. Steam for humidifiers was provided from building and piped to each air tunnel.

Completed in 2009, this 90-bed hospital serves the western suburbs of Minneapolis, MN.
Three (3) Ultraline units totaling 480 tons of capacity provide all air conditioning for the building.
