The vertical WSHP is easy to inspect or service with minimum disturbance to room occupants. It is readily connected to circulating water lines, electric service cables, and individual and whole-building control systems. This solution is widely used in geothermal heat exchange applications. The unit is available with a reversing valve for both heating and cooling, or in a cooling-only design with or without hydronic heat.
